Hi! This is the first ever newsletter for Web3 Gen, like I promised each week I will share updates on what I ( or we, depending on the week ) have been up to. I'm grateful for all of you choosing to take your time to read this - it means a lot.

The past year in web3 has taught me a lot about the beauty of collaboration. Mon/Tues/Wed/Thurs/FriDAO have created a great ecosystem for London Web3 folks, everyone's a winner.

Web3 Gen is the same - While we may be a small telegram group -> we're all a part of a really big ecosystem which you will be able to tap into. If you want to know how big just shoot me a message with what you need and I'll very likely be able to direct you to who can help. ( we helped a company find their dream hire in community and another find a top notch CTO.. thanks to the ecosystem we have that links to Web3 Gen we can help make the connections )

If you need anything from experienced blockchain developers; general counsels to interns to funding etc - within our ecosystem we can probably help, this is why each week I will post a link to an ' ASK ' form here and in the telegram group in case anyone in Web3 Gen ever feels like they want to ask for help and someone may have exactly what you need.

Rebranding the W3G podcast

Podcasts usually include the host and the guest where the host asks interesting questions to learn great lessons from them. What if we changed it up a bit. What if we asked founders who want to share their journey to an audience of bright talent / investors. Because both talent and investors are attracted by the people behind the project. Our goal for the podcast is to listen to the stories of founders in web3 and help them get to the next level by aiming to have the right listeners for them and potentially following up with the contact / resource they need to take the next leap. This way the guest wins as well as the audience - you'll listen to their story, their tips and their struggles ( and how they..or with the help of our ecosystem can overcome them. )

Community management micro-cohort

Quality community > Quantity.

By slowly finding and inviting the right members who align with our values we will grow into a massive friends group and I trust the network effect will eventually kick off :)

More details for the micro-cohort will be shared in due course about who is managing/instructing. It's a free 8-9 week program to support those interested in learning more about community building

IRL meet up will be announced in the next newsletter - I've had more non london people reach out showing interest in getting involved with W3G, so I'm planning on creating more hybrid style meets where we can add more value to those outside of london.
